The Hiawatha, Kansas Comprehensive Plan Update of 2004, prepared by the Plan Preparation Class in the Program for Landscape Architectural/Regional and Community Planning at Kansas State University. Completed during the spring semester of 2004. The plan was supervised by Dr. John Keller. Said comprehensive plan is for the City of Hiawatha and said three mile area; and includes all maps included therein. Said Hiawatha, Kansas Comprehensive Plan Update is a model or standard for the purpose of comprehensive planning of the City of Hiawatha, Kansas and area within a three mile radius of said city. Not less than three copies of the said Hiawatha, Kansas Comprehensive Plan Update of 2004 shall be marked and stamped “Official Comprehensive Plan as adopted by Ordinance No. 931; with all sections and portions of therein intended to be omitted clearly marked to show any such deletions or change and to which shall be attached a copy of the ordinance codified by this chapter and filed with the City Clerk to be opened for inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours.

The provisions of the Hiawatha, Kansas Comprehensive Plan Update of 2004 shall be controlling within the city limits of Hiawatha, Kansas and a three mile area thereof.

The zoning map has subsequently been amended by Ordinance Nos. 2032, 2033, 2037, 2040, 2056, 2060, 2069, 2083, 2088, 2096.
